Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is endowed beyond mountain gorillas. Lying in the far Southwestern Uganda, Bwindi is a 331sq.km protected area –home to about 120 mammals, 350 bird species and several flowering plants. This park was established back in 1991 primarily to offer refuge to the present endangered mountain gorillas and other faunal species.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is a biodiverse and is Uganda’s second biggest park. It is found in Western side of Uganda, spanning over 1978sq.km. This park protects a total of about 95 species of mammals, 625 bird species, and most importantly, it is in this protected area where you can find the tree climbing lions.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & transfer to hotel
Get a warm welcome to Uganda at the Entebbe Airport. Our company representative will be present and from Entebbe, drive off to the hotel. Entebbe Airport/city lies on the Northern side of Lake Victoria and will be your starting point as per this itinerary.

Day 2: Entebbe city –Queen Elizabeth Game Park via Mbarara
Today’s morning, you will be picked up at the hotel and marks the start of your road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive via Masaka city –Mbarara and en-route, the first stopover will be had at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe. After photography experience at the Equator, head off to the park to check in at the pre-booked safari lodge for you to relax. In the afternoon, you set off for the late afternoon game drive through the Kasenyi plains and expect to come across small and big mammals including bush elephants, cape buffaloes, antelopes and lots of birds.

Day 3: Full day game experience –game drive & boat cruise
At leisure, enjoy breakfast and exit your place of stay by 6:00am. Start the unforgettable 2-3 hour game drive through Kasenyi Plains with an experienced guide. In your classic 4WD vehicle with a pop-up roof, observe diversity of animals including buffaloes, elephants, lions, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs and birds.
Get back to the lodge to freshen up, enjoy lunch and later, proceed with the mesmerizing launch cruise on Kazinga channel. The powerful boat cruise experience on Kazinga channel includes observing aquatic species such as hippos, crocodiles, and bird species. After, have leisurely dinner and a night stay at your respective accommodation choices.

Day 4: Kasenyi-Ishasha, game drive & travel to Bwindi
Today marks the beginning of your journey to Bwindi, a rich natural habitat to over 120 mammal including a total of 459 endangered mountain gorillas. Before you reach the park, expect to enjoy a short game drive along Ishasha and this is where tree climbing lions and plenty of topis survive from. Enjoy a bush lunch break and continue to the lodge around Bwindi National Park.

Day 5: Get thrilled by Bwindi gorilla trekking adventure
The long awaited mind-blowing adventure begins today. Assemble at the park offices to be briefed about the guidelines for gorilla trekking and be there by 6:30am with your pack of lunch and enough drinking water. The 2-6 hours trek through Bwindi will begin at 8:00am once gorilla groups and park guides have been assigned to you.
The trek through the Bwindi Forest requires some fitness levels but never leaves you in regrets. There will be absolute 1 hour set for you observe the unique behaviors of gorillas, taking pictures and you do so at a distance of 8-10m. After, walk back and have some refreshments at the lodge. End the day perfectly with a thrilling Batwa community experience.

Day 6: Leave Bwindi for Entebbe city
Enjoy a hefty breakfast and next, just check out and packing your luggage into the vehicle. Start your return journey to Entebbe early, driving through the scenic Kigezi area and en-route, lunch will be enjoyed then have another moment to take pictures at the Equator.
