Kidepo National Park is the biggest park in Uganda, spanning over 1442sq.km in the semi-arid area of Karamoja. This park boasts a huge concentration of mammals and other species including the Rothschild giraffes, cheetahs, lions, leopards, buffaloes, roan antelopes, zebras, and over 475 bird species. This tour takes 3 nights and 4 days starting from Entebbe or Kampala.
Meet your safari leader for a short briefing about this trip after a delicious breakfast. Embark on a journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, a 10-12 hour drive. It is a rewarding road trip that allows you to explore and experience Uganda’s countryside. For those who prefer not to spend long hours on the road, a fly-in safari to Kidepo is an option. On arrival, check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation:Enjoy a hefty breakfast early in the morning and then set off for a game drive through Narus Valley. This inspirational morning game drive includes great sights of early sun risers such as Rothschild giraffes, cape buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, and many antelope families. After a 2-3 hour game drive, return for lunch and some relaxation.
Later, leave your accommodation for a community visit to interact with the Karamojong nomads. Experience true African cultures and traditions, with vibrant dances and musical performances by the Karamojong.
Accommodation:After a delicious breakfast, embark on a second game drive focusing on Kidepo Valley. Along the Kidepo loop, expect to see varied faunal species including buffaloes, kudus, aardwolves, cheetahs, elephants, and birds. Drive up to Kanangorok hot spring, then return to the lodge for the rest of the evening.
